Exhibitors

Q.    How are sites allocated, especially when a preference has been requested?

A.     As the Application Forms are received they are dated, and then the forms are held in this sequence at the time that allocations are being made.  It is acknowledged that long term exhibitors do like the same position each year as the visitors get to know where to look for them, and therefore we do try and allow for this.  However, if we have not heard from a regular stallholder in reasonable time we have to consider that they are not planning to attend and can not hold a site vacant indefinitely. The prompt return of the Application Form gives the best chance of a preferred site.

Stallholders also have to be aware that the type of stalls (eg trade, animals, market) are allocated to particular locations around the oval.

Q.  Can you tell me where my stall can be placed before I send in the Application Form?

A.  No, this is not possible until we have received the Application Form to maintain our commitment to give preference by the date of the receipt of the Forms.

Q.  Can I request a shady site?

A.   Because the venue for the Field Day is a sporting oval there is very little shade available on the site. The best adjustment we can make is the orientation of the stall, ie facing north, south, east or west.  If your product has particular needs (eg foods that will be spoilt if in the sun all day) please indicate your need for minimal sun and we will try and place you in a southern or eastern orientation.  Be sure to provide yourself with sufficient protection with your stall covering.

Q.  How can I be sure people will find my stall on the day?

A.  Be sure to have a clear banner or signage that identifies you as the visitors pass your stall.  At the gates and near the Information Office there are enlarged maps and an index of the stalls so visitors can locate the position of a stall they wish to find.
